Optomen bolsters senior team for fact-ent & reality push

All3Media-owned prodco Optomen has made a number of senior hires promotions as it looks to develop more talent-led series, factual entertainment formats and reality shows.

The company has upped Great British Menu and Versus exec producer Sarah Eglin to creative director of the Birmingham office, while head of development, Eliana Capitani, has been named director of development and EP, to develop premium factual series, along with a yet to be announced feature documentary.

Exec producer Charlotte Brookes meanwhile becomes head of popular factual, where she will help to create new fact-ent series and oversee all Stacey Solomon’s projects including the long running BBC One format Sort Your Life Out.

In addition, Laura Leigh is to oversee the award-winning Olivia Attwood: Getting Filthy Rich series, having already executive produced Optomen’s At Home With The Furys and Olivia Attwood: The Price Of Perfection.

Big Brother alum, Colin Whitaker, joins as executive producer of a yet to be announced, 11-part reality series for ITVX. He has previously worked on reality series such as Celebs Go Dating and Geordie Shore.
