Netflix orders ‘The Four Seasons’ series adaptation from Tina Fey
Netflix has given an eight-episode order to The Four Seasons, a comedy series starring and co-created by Tina Fey alongside Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield.
The series, produced by Universal Television, alongside Fey’s Little Stranger, is based on the 1981 feature film of the same name from Universal Pictures that was written and directed by Alan Alda.
Fey, Fisher and Wigfield previously collaborated on NBC comedy series 30 Rock and all serve as co-creators, writers and executive producers on The Four Seasons, which will begin production later this year.
Fey has also partnered with Netflix and Universal Television before on comedy series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, which ran for four seasons plus a movie, and Girls5eva, which will debut its third season on Netflix in March.
Fisher also co-created Never Have I Ever, which ran for four seasons on Netflix, while Wigfield created Great News and Saved By The Bell.
David Miner, Eric Gurian and Jeff Richmond also executive produce, while Alan Alda and Marissa Bregman will produce.
