France’s ZED expands sales team with France Télévisions and RTL Belgium alums

French distributor and producer ZED has expanded its sales team by hiring France Télévisions and RTL Belgium alums.

Lucille Ract will lead sales in the US, the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia, Iberia and English-speaking Africa, while Fuga’s remit covers Italy, Lat Am, Eastern Europe, Russia, the Baltic States, Greece, Cyprus and Malta.

Ract was previously rights chief at ASO and before that a sales manager at France TV, while Fuga was an acquisition exec at RTL Belgium.

Both report into ZED’s head of distribution & acquisition Charlotte Tachet, who took up the role in 2022.

ZED has been expanding its slate recently, last year acquiring l’Affaire d’Outreau producer Point du Jour – Les Films du Balibari, as revealed by TBI, and striking distribution pacts with Ancient Egypt: Top 7 Pyramids producer Label News among others.

The hires also come six weeks after fellow French factual producer and distributor Kwanza named Lucy Le Gruiec as head of distribution & acquisitions. She joined having been international sales manager at ZED, which she exited in November after seven years.
