Apple TV+ has cancelled musical adult animated sitcom Central Park after three seasons.

Co-creator and star Josh Gad revealed the news on social media, writing: “Sadly, it’s done” in response to a fan’s question about when the show would return.

This is the second Apple TV+ show to be cancelled in less than a week, after the streamer also brought basketball drama Swagger to an end after two seasons.

Central Park followed the Tillermans, a family living in the titular New York City park, who are battling to save the land from a greedy developer.

Created by Loren Bouchard, Josh Gad and Nora Smith, and produced by 20th Television Animation, the voice cast also included Emmy Raver-Lampman, Tituss Burgess, Daveed Diggs, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr and Stanley Tucci.

The show initially faced criticism in its first season for casting Kristen Bell as the voice of a mixed race character, with the role later recast with the voice of Raver-Lampman.
