Tencent Video in China is preparing to launch a local version of make-up format Glow Up, marking Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) China’s first foray into local reality.
Glow Up China will delve into the world and follows eight contestants as they look to impress judges with their skills to become the country’s next make-up star.
The show launches locally in December and is based on the Warner Bros. Independent Television Production (WBITVP) format.
Clark Wang, VP & head of franchise for Greater China, said: “Combining our creative and production expertise with successful local partnerships, this series champions homegrown talent and stories that resonate on a local and global scale.”
The 6 x 60-minute show is based on the Wall to Wall production, first made for the BBC. China marks its seventh international adaptation.
