Power Of The Dog producer See-Saw Films has partnered with Heartstopper exec producer Patrick Walters on a new prodco label, which has its first commission secured.

Fanboy will produce scripted shows that “celebrate unique, underdog perspectives”, with Walters producing alongside See-Saw’s Iain Canning, Emile Sherman and Helen Gregory.

The first show in the works is dark comedy Sweetpea for Sky Atlantic, which is based on CJ Skuse’s novel and which is being adapted by Kirstie Swain.

Walters has been behind See-Saw projects including The Essex Serpent for Apple TV+, as well as Heartstopper, which was available via Netflix.

Walters said: “Over the last 10 years at See-Saw I’ve been lucky enough to develop a variety of stories to screen as limited or returning television series.

“The constant between these projects has always been the passion, creativity and mutual obsession of their creative teams.

“I’m so excited to continue making shows with this kind of conviction and heart, matched with the best creative talent out there, and to do so as part of the See-Saw family. The darkly delicious Sweetpea is the perfect project to kick off the fanboy journey.”
