Mondo TV’s climate toon ‘MeteoHeroes’ lands in Thailand, Korea & China ahead of ATF

Broadcasters in Thailand, South Korea and China are among those to have picked up shows from Mondo TV Group, aahead of Asia TV Forum and Market (ATF) next week.

The first two seasons of kids animation MeteoHeroes, which is co-produced by Mondo TV and Meteo Expert, has been acquired by Cineplex in Thailand and will air on its True-branded channels and platforms, both on an exclusive pay TV and a non-exclusive free TV basis.

Both seasons are also going to Jei Broadcasting Corporation (Jei TV) in South Korea, which acquire exclusive pay TV rights and non-exclusive SVOD rights, while the second run has been picked up in Greater China via distributor SPE HK.

Other deals include RTL Klub taking rights in Hungary, distributor Mi Media International picking up FTA rights in Brunei and MBC snagging a window in Mauritius.

MeteoHeroes claims to be the only cartoon in the world dedicated entirely to climate and environmental issues. The second season premiered on Cartoonito and Canal Plus this summer, with rights previously sold to companies in more than 180 countries and 22 languages.
