CBS to end cop drama ‘Blue Bloods’ after 14th season
Paramount-owned CBS is bringing the curtain down on cop drama Blue Bloods after 14 seasons.
The show is produced by CBS Studios and will bow out with an 18-episode final season that will air in two chunks, one later this year and one in 2024.
The series, which will also be available on Paramount+, follows a New York family who work in the police force and first launched in 2010.
Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment and David Stapf, president of CBS Studios, said: “Blue Bloods will forever be a beloved part of CBS’ legacy.
“It ruled Friday nights with unprecedented dominance since its premiere and established itself as a pillar of our winning lineup with an exceptionally devoted fan base.”
The late Leonard Goldberg develope the series, which stars Tom Selleck and is executive produced by Kevin Wade.
