Sony Pictures Television names Andrew Plotkin EVP of drama development

Sony Pictures Television (SPT) has upped Andrew Plotkin to become EVP of drama development, replacing Lauren Stein.

The move comes a week after Stein was named head of creative for SPT Studios and four years since Plotkin was appointed SVP of drama development.

He continues to report into Stein and will work on shows including Prime Video’s The Boys and its spin-offs, including Gen V.

Stein described Plotkin as “a leader with a unique ability to cultivate relationships across all segments of the business… [and] able to build strong creative foundations for original shows and IP that provide pathways for expanding and sustaining long-running series.”
