MENA streamer Shahid & Dubai Media land Spanish drama ‘Boundless’ from ZDF Studios

MENA streamer Shahid and Dubai Media have become the latest companies to pick up rights to Spanish drama Boundless.

The 6 x 45-minute show, which is sold by ZDF Studios, tells the story of the first circumnavigation of the Earth 500 years ago by Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan.

Shahid has acquired the series across MENA territories, while Dubai Media has secured rights for its free TV channels Dubai TV and Dubai one.

The six-parter is directed by Oscar-nominee Simon West and produced by Spanish Mono Films, with Fulwell 73 Productions, RTVE and Amazon Prime Video among those attached.

The show has already sold to MTVA (Hungary), YLE (Finland), LRT (Lithuania), GSN Global Series Network (Australia and New Zealand), VIVA (Philippines), ERR (Estonia), Mediasquad (Balcans) and Eleven Entertainment (South Korea).
