Newen Connect is to relaunch classic TV show Through The Keyhole following its acquisition of the international format rights to the legendary comedy panel gameshow.

The format, created by Kevin Sim and Lloyd Grossman, is managed by the estate of the late broadcaster David Frost and investigates the glamorous homes of the rich and famous, asking a panel of well-known faces to guess the identity of the owner from a series of visual clues.

The format debuted in the UK on ITV more than 40 years ago and was picked up as a format by the BBC in 1998.

It later returned to ITV in 2013, where it ran until 2020, while SBS6 in the Netherlands has also remade the format.

Andrew Sime, head of format sales at Newen Connect, said: “Given the current trend for bringing back established and trusted formats, we think the time is right to re-introduce Through The Keyhole for an international audience and Newen Connect is thrilled that we can continue to build on the legacy of one of the best known shows on British television.”
