Hulu extends The Bear

Hulu drama The Bear has been extended into a third season, with sibling streamers Star+ and Disney+ taking rights in Latin America and rest of world respectively.

The Bear was created for fellow Disney network FX by Christopher Storer (Ramy) and has become a hit across the US, as well as international markets.

Prime Video scores Thomas Müller doc

Amazon’s Prime Video is preparing to launch a documentary about German football star Thomas Müller.

The doc provides an “intimate and authentic” look at the professional and personal life of Müller and will launch exclusively on Prime Video worldwide.

Thomas Mueller (working title) is being produced by NEO Studios, directed by André Hörmann and produced by Sadoux Kim (former senior creative executive at Amazon Studios).

CJ ENM strikes TAICCA fund pact

South Korea’s CJ ENM has agreed a memorandum of understanding with Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA), Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) and TV Network – TVBS to discuss a multi-year content fund.

The scheme will aim to co-produce and jointly distribute content, covering expertise from creative productions, distribution and marketing, media networks and technology.

The fund will focus on identifying and funding “promising projects” and provide financial support, mentorship, and industry connections.
