Turkey’s Kanal D remakes Italian drama ‘On The Brink’ with Ay Yapim

Turkey’s Kanal D is preparing to air a local remake of Italian scripted format On The Brink, which first aired on Mediaset’s Canale 5.

The psychological series, known in Turkey as Bir Derdim Var (Light In The Dark), tracks an unusual doctor who uses her rebellious spirit to treat teenagers.

At the same time, she is also affected by a dark secret and she fights with her own demons through a complicated love-story with a prosecutor who collaborates with the local court.

The Turkish adaptation stars Birce Akalay and Mert Fırat, with Ay Yapim producing. The deal was struck between Mediaset Distribution and Ay Yapim, and brokered by Sera Film, which manages rights to the show in MENEA.

The Turkish version will be distributed internationally by Madd Entertainment.
