‘Outback Truckers’ firm Prospero lands Eureka exec Sharron Ashworth as COO

Outback Truckers firm Prospero Productions has hired Eureka Productions exec Sharron Ashworth as its COO.

Ashworth joins the all-female leadership team in the newly created role at the Western Australian firm, having most recently been at Eureka Productions in Sydney.

She has been in the industry for more than three decades and has worked for companies including the ABC, Electric Pictures and Warner Bros. International Television Production.

Ashworth said: “”I am hugely excited about joining this dynamic and creative company. The energy and enthusiasm from everyone here is wonderfully infectious. We have a massive year ahead and I can’t wait to get stuck in.”

Julia Redwood, MD at Prospero, added: “The appointment of Sharron in the new role of COO is such an exciting moment for the company. She will bring all her rich experience at a time of even greater expansion for the company.”

Prospero is behind shows including Opal Hunters: Red Dirt Roadtrip and Martin Clunes Islands Of Australia, as well as 7Mate’s well-travelled Outback Truckers.
