Anime streamer Crunchyroll and US cablenet GSN (Game Show Network) have partnered to launch a new 24/7 anime streaming channel.

The two companies, which are both subsidiaries of Sony Pictures Entertainment, have launched a new Crunchyroll channel on Amazon Freevee, LG Channels, The Roku Channel and VIZIO WatchFree+.

The network will include English-dubbed programing at launch, including titles such as Horimiya, Ranking of Kings, Moriarty the Patriot, PSYCHO–PASS, Arifureta: From Commonplace To World’s Strongest, Sugar Apple Fairytale, To Your Eternity and Code Geass.

New and premium anime content will remain on Crunchyroll’s SVOD and AVOD services.

Crunchyroll president Rahul Purini said that the new channel was “a gateway to the world of anime where we will guide viewers to discover new worlds, new stories and new characters.”

Sony struck a $1.2bn deal to acquire AT&T-owned Crunchyroll in early 2021 and merged it with rival anime streamer Funimation the following year to create a streamer that currently boasts more than 10 million paid subscribers.
