Videoland joins new format ‘The Life Trail’ from SimpelZodiak & RTL Creative Unit

Netherlands-base streamer Videoland has ordered a new adventure reality show that tracks young people looking to improve their mental health while trekking across Switzerland.

The Life Trail is from Banijay’s Dutch prodco SimpelZodiak and has been developed with RTL Creative Unit, a sibling of Videoland, with Nasrdin Dchar, Walid Benmbarek and Erik Wegewijs.

The format follows eight young people as they embark on a life-changing adventure through Switzerland to improve their psychological wellbeing and overcome their greatest challenges.

Dutch actors Nasrdin Dchar and Walid Benmbarek will also face the intense challenges and accompany the team as they head towards the finish line, guided by the Erik Wegewijs (SAS: Who Dares Wins). At the end of the show each person that completes the trip will be able to open their bespoke prize, a gift designed to spark their dreams.

Justine Huffmeijer, MD at SimpelZodiak, described the format as “authentic, emotional and a real journey of self-discovery.”
