BBC Studios strikes Amazon Freevee deal to roll out five new FAST channels

BBC Studios has struck a deal with Amazon Freevee to deliver five new exclusive FAST channels in the US.

The channels will launch on 17 October and carry a combined 1,000 hours of titles including The Catherine Tate Show, Misfits and Without Limits.

Beth Anderson, SVP of FAST & VOD Sales in North America and Latin America, said: “FAST is becoming a larger part of the TV-viewing landscape, and we’re committed to meeting the demand and growing our FAST footprint here in the US.”

The deal marks BBC Studios’ latest expansion in FAST, following the launch of its first channel in 2019.

It now operates 17 channels, with the latest five offerings including: BBC Comedy; BBC Gameshows; BBC Sci-Fi; BBC Travel; and a Silent Witness/New Tricks network.
