Eleventh Hour lands ‘Showtrial’ & ‘The Killing Kind’ writer Zara Hayes
Sony Pictures Television-backed Eleventh Hour Films has hired Showtrial’s Zara Hayes as an executive producer and writer, with a remit to originate a new slate of projects.
The move follows the recent launch of Eleventh Hour’s thriller The Killing Kind on Paramount+ UK, on which Hayes co-wrote, directed and exec produced.
Hayes has worked in the US and the UK on shows ranging from the BBC’s aforementioned legal thriller Showtrial to narrative feature Poms, which starred Diane Keaton and Jacki Weaver.
She has also been docs including National Geographic event series Dian Fossey: Secrets In The Mist, Captive for Netflix, and Clothes To Die For on BBC Two.
Eleventh Hour chiefs Paula Cuddy and Eve Gutierrez said the deal would “channel her curiosity for the world”.
“We will be primarily focusing on developing scripted ideas together but are also excited about the idea of crossing the line into the world of factual and exploring how the factual can inspire great drama for audiences,” the duo added.
