Italy’s Movimenti lands Rainbow’s Cristiana Buzzelli as COO among three new hires
Banijay-owned Movimenti Production has appointed Rainbow’s Cristiana Buzzelli as its new COO, one of three new hires for the Italian company.
Buzzelli will oversee the management of the company’s IPs, from the financing and co-production stage to market launch, and will also help to set corporate strategies, as well as working with the Banijay Kids & Family team.
She reports into Movimenti’s CEO & creative directors, Giorgio Scorza and Davide Rosio, and joins having been SVP of content and licensing at Rainbow, which she joined 15 years ago initially as senior licensing manager.
Buzzelli is joined at Movimenti by Alessandra Principini, who takes the role of fundraiser, and Federico Rognoni, who becomes CFO.
Principini was previously at 3D Produzioni and will now work across Movimenti’s relationships with film commissions and funding institutions, while Rognoni was joins following stints at 2D animation studio DogHead Animation and 3D production company MoBo. Rognoni also previously held senior financial roles as Viacom, Inc. And Discovery, Inc.
Movimenti was launched in 2004 and has bases in Milan, Florence, Rome and Bari. It has been behind shows including Topo Gigio for Rai, as well as Tear Along The Dotted Line and This World Can’t Tear Me Down for Netflix.
