Bad Robot’s SVP of television Kira Innes departs JJ Abrams prodco

Bad Robot Productions’ SVP of television Kira Innes has left the company, according to US reports.

Innes had been in the role since 2019, joining from Fox Television Studios.

Bad Robot, which has a $250m overall deal with Warner Bros. Discovery, had been commissioned across unscripted and scripted, with orders for shows such as UFO for Showtime and Subject To Change for Max (then HBO Max).

However, it has been hit by the streaming pull-back with its high-profile sci-fi drama Demimonde axed this time last year by HBO.

My Glory Was I Had Such Friends, a project for Apple TV+, and Max animation Batman: Caped Crusader, have also been pulled over the past year.

Deadline broke the news, with Bad Robot declining comment.
