Fremantle & Ukraine’s STB partner on first ever ‘Got Talent’ feature doc
Fremantle and Ukraine broadcaster STB have partnered on a new feature documentary that reveals the real-life stories of former contestants of Got Talent, as the country’s conflict with Russia continues.
Power Of Talent is being produced by Kyiv-based prodco Starlight Media and marks the first time that the Got Talent format – sold globally by Fremantle – will provide the backdrop to a feature doc.
It will delve into the lives of previous Ukraine’s Got Talent contestants, revealing the obstacles they face amidst the ongoing conflict.
Acts including Light Balance Kids, Natasha Korotkina and Artem Fesko will feature as they take to various Got Talent stages across the world, while the format’s judges including Simon Cowell, Edurne in Spain and Serhiy Prytula in Ukraine will also feature.
The show is set to launch on Ukrainian Independence Day (24 August) on STB, with Fremantle selling globally.
Angela Neillis, SVP of non-scripted content for international at Fremantle, said: “This is a film that inspires hope whilst featuring fantastic talent, which is what talent shows are all about. STB have been a great partner to work with and we cannot wait to share Power Of Talent globally.”
General producer of programmes at STB, Natalya Franchuk, added: “This new feature documentary will captivate audiences with powerful real-life stories of past Ukraine’s Got Talent contestants. This film serves as a testament to the contestants and resilience of Ukrainian people and will showcase their talents on the world stage.”
