Hulu orders Wayne Brady reality series from Fremantle

Wayne Brady hosts CBS series ‘Let’s Make A Deal’

Hulu has ordered an unscripted series exploring the personal life of actor, comedian and singer Wayne Brady and his family.

The reality show, with the working title of Untitled Wayne Brady & Family Project, will be produced by Fremantle, alongside Brady and his ex-wife and business partner Mandie Taketa’s A Wayne & Mandie Creative.

Brady, who is known as the host of shows such as Let’s Make A Deal and an actor in titles like The Bold And The Beautiful, will exec produce alongside Taketa, with Shahram Qureshi and Rachel Tung.

The series will follow Brady and Taketa as they co-parent their 20-year-old daughter, Maile Brady, a student and aspiring artist, as well as running their production company. Jason Fordham, Taketa’s life partner of 12 years, handles the family’s cinematography and post-production; and the couple recently expanded their already blended family with the birth of their son, Sundance-Isamu.

With Brady at a sudden crossroads in his life, the show offers an intimate look into his blended family’s personal life.

The show order follows other reality commissions for Hulu, including the third season of The Kardashians and the upcoming Vanderpump Villa, and comes in the same week that the streamer greenlit a true crime docuseries exploring the disappearance of Sherri Papini.
