‘Sherwood’ firm House Productions appoints DMC Film’s Theo Barrowclough as exec producer
UK Sherwood producer House Productions has appointed Theo Barrowclough as executive producer.
Working alongside by Tessa Ross and Juliette Howell, who founded the company in 2016, Barrowclough will take responsibility for House Productions’ film slate which includes the upcoming The Iron Claw, Conclave and Starve Acre.
Barrowclough joins House Productions from DMC Film where he worked for eight years and most recently produced Charlotte Regan’s debut Scrapper. He is also a co-producer on The Kitchen for Netflix and was an associate producer on Calm With Horses.
Prior to that, he produced Molly Manning-Walker’s debut short, Good Thanks, You? and as part of his work at DMC, he helped to develop a range of projects, including Dreadful Bed and The Lesser Bohemians.
Acquired by BBC Studios in 2021, House Productions is currently working with Richard Ayoade on an adaptation of The Semplica Girl Diaries and a second season of Sherwood. It is also behind titles including Brexit – An Uncivil War, Six Four and Life After Life.
Ross and Howell said: “Theo is a wonderful producer – we’re thrilled that he has joined us at House Productions, working to expand and build on our exciting slate of features, and growing our relationships with brilliant storytellers.”
