Monday Norway names new management as CEO Lasse Hallberg steps down
Lasse Hallberg is stepping down as CEO of Monday Norway, the Norwegian production arm of European content group Monday Media.
Hallberg exits after eight years heading the unit which includes Monday Production, Teddy TV, Feelgood and Monday Sport.
As a result of Hallberg’s departure, Stina Greaker, former COO at Monday Norway, has been promoted to CEO of Monday Production.
Meanwhile, three of the group’s companies have appointed daily managers reporting directly to the board, including Hege Christensen for Teddy TV, Hallvard Berby for Feelgood, and Magnus Sveen for Monday Sport.
Hallberg was involved in the deal that brought Lilyhammer to Netflix in 2011 as its first original production and played a key role in bringing reality format Big Brother to Norway in 2001. He first joined Monday in 2015, having previously served as MD at Rubicon TV and as programme manager for TV3.
Earlier this month, Monday Group acquired Finnish unscripted and scripted Mobile 101 prodco Rabbit Films, as well as Danish unscripted firm Impact TV, following its bankruptcy filing. Currently, it operates a total of 13 companies in Norway, Denmark, Finland, and the Netherlands.
“Lasse has made a tremendous contribution to Monday in Norway. It can be said quite simply: Without Lasse, we would not have achieved the solid position with the strong creative brands that we have today.
Lasse’s experience and exceptional network, both locally and internationally, have been invaluable to us. We have a lot to thank Lasse for and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” said Martin Dalgaard, CEO of the Monday Group.
