Jetpack Distribution snags WildBrain’s Rebecca Lugo to head global sales

Jetpack Distribution has hired WildBrain exec Rebecca Lugo as head of global sales.

Lugo will oversee the sale of all content for the global kids and family distributor, working specifically across the US, Canada, Latin America, France, Spain and Portugal.

She arrives at Jetpack following an almost nine-year stint at WildBrain, where she worked in the international distribution team, overseeing sales strategy, and managing client relationships in the US, Latin America, Benelux, Italy and Spain.

Lugo joins the firm today, 12 June, and will be based in Toronto, reporting directly to Jetpack Distribution CEO Dominic Gardiner.

She takes over the role from Sophie “Kido” Prigent, who exited as Jetpack’s head of global sales in January to join Paris-based animation house Studio Hari.

Jetpack’s sales catalogue includes titles such as Viking Skool, Once Upon A Time… Objects, Mechamato and Dennis The Menace and Gnasher.

“This is an integral role at Jetpack. Rebecca has brilliant experience and established relationships with broadcasters and platforms across the globe,” said Gardiner.
