Foxtel lands Fatboy Slim doc

Foxtel in Australia has picked up a one-off doc that tracks how a set with DJ Fatboy Slim became the biggest beach party the UK had ever seen.

Fatboy Slim: Right Here Right Now is produced by Beyond TNC and BMG Films, with international distribution handled by Banijay Rights.

It wikll premiere on Foxtel 6 May and explores how a party expecting 40,000 ravers in the UK city of Brighton ended up attracting more than a quarter of a million, with chaos ensuing.

The CW rescues HBO Max’s ‘FBoy Island’

The CW has confirmed a third season of former HBO Max series F-Boy Island and a spin-off, to be known as F-Girl Island.

Reports emerged in March that The CW was planning to save the show, as the network shifts its focus to unscripted programming.

As part of the move, the Nexstar Media Group-owned US network recently hired former NBCUniversal exec Betsy Slenzak to work across its output.

BBC snags French kids shows

The BBC has picked up CGI animations Grizzy And The Lemmings World Tour and The Weasy Family from France-based producer Hari.

The show has already been sold to France Television, Warner Media, Netflix, Germany’s Super RTL, Mango TV in China, Wildbrain and Canada’s TeleQuebec.
