Electric expands FAST en Espanol

LA-based Electric Entertainment has launched ElectricNOW en Español, the Spanish language version of their linear FAST channel.

The channel will arrive on 1 May and marks the first all-Spanish OTT service from Electric Entertainment. Its US launch will be followed by other territories where ElectricNOW is currently available.

The ElectricNOW en Español FAST channel will be available on streaming platforms including the TCL Channel, Local Now, and Plex, plus more. ElectricNOW en Español will also be available on the ElectricNOW app and the ElectricNOW website.

Amazon buys Finestripe doc

Amazon Prime Video has picked up rights to The Mysterious Mr Lagerfeld from Finestripe Productions, following a deal with distributor Cineflix Rights.

The show, which premiered on BBC Two on 26 April, has been sold to Prime Video Australia, Canada and New Zealand.

The 1 x 90-minute doc claims to be “the definitive story” of the Chanel designer who reigned over the fashion world for more than 40 years.

Catherine McCormick, VP of acquisitions at Cineflix Rights, said: “We’ve had a lot of success with Finestripe’s previous documentaries appealing to buyers around the world, so we’re thrilled to be partnering again with them on another high quality, access driven blue-chip film.

“Karl Lagerfeld is such a recognisable, global icon who fascinates audiences and we’re already seeing a lot of international demand—as evidenced already with Prime Video’s early commitment to the film.”
