Bento Box Entertainment CEO Scott Greenberg to exit Fox’s animation firm

Bento Box Entertainment CEO Scott Greenberg is leaving the Fox-owned animation studio.

Greenberg, who co-founded Bento Box in 2009 prior to its acquisition by Fox in 2019, will be replaced by COO Brett Coker.

He reports into Michael Thorn, president of scripted programming at Fox Entertainment. The latter’s SVP of animation, Daniel Weidenfeld, will also work across Bento Box output with creative director Ben Jones, reporting into Coker.

Fox Entertainment’s SVP of comedy Cheryl Dolins, will oversee live-action comedy and animation programming and development at the company.

Greenberg had also been CEO of Fox’s tech company Blockchain Creative Labs, which will now be overseen by president Melody Hildebrandt. Last year, Greenberg told TBI that NFT’s would become a key tool in the way content is distributed and financed.

Bento Box is behind shows such as Bob’s Burgers and Krapopolis for Fox, as well as Grimsburg. It also produced third-party programming, including Central Park for Apple TV+ and Koala Man at Hulu.
