ITVS label Big Talk rebrands as MD Matthew Justice plans departure

Friday Night Dinner

ITV Studios’ Friday Night Dinner label Big Talk Productions has rebranded as Big Talk Studios amid a team restructure that sees MD Matthew Justice stepping down and Christina Angeloudes promoted to commercial director.

Justice is exiting after 16 years with the company to take on a new role which will be announced “in due course.” He will depart later this year and, in the meantime, will work with CEO Kenton Allen to ensure on a smooth transition to a new management structure over the coming months.

Angeloudes has has been with Big Talk for more than 10 years and currently oversees all key talent deals – and has put together multiple co-productions.

Founded in 1995, Big Talk is also behind series including Rev, Him & Her, Cold Feet and The Outlaws. Production has just wrapped on Dinner With The Parents, the US remake of scripted format Friday Night Dinner, with CBS Studios for Amazon Freevee.

Currently in production are an anachronistic period comedy about the infamous highwayman Dick Turpin, starring Noel Fielding for Apple TV+ and a third season of The Outlaws for BBC One and Amazon.

The company said that its new name was chosen to reflect its “evolution into a global studio”.

“Big Talk Studios represents the next chapter in our company’s evolution,” said Allen. “We’ve just produced Dinner With The Parents, our first exclusively UK for US series all shot in London. This cements our status as a best-in-class UK producer for US buyers, bringing together all the key creative and financial benefits of shooting in the UK.”
