Amazon Prime Video preps ABBA stalking doc ‘Take A Chance’ in Nordics & Europe
Amazon Prime Video is preparing to launch a one-off doc about a stalker who became obsessed with ABBA singer Agnetha Fältskog.
Take A Chance (1 x 85 minutes) explores the mind of Gert van der Graaf and tracks how his childhood crush on Fältskog turned into an obsession that shaped the rest of his life. Prime Video will debut the doc 19 May in the Nordics and Europe.
The special has been produced by Kreativ Inc., A Rabbit Hole and Banijay-owned Bunim Murray Productions, with Banijay Rights handling international distribution outside Europe.
Joel Karsberg (Surviving R. Kelly, The Prize of Silence) and John Mork (Rörelsen, Balkongfallet) serve as executive producers, and Maria Thulin directs.
Andreas Hjerto, head of content at Prime Video Nordics, said: ““Through unprecedented access, the film provides new layers to an important and almost unbelievable story. We are amazed by the professionals in front of and behind the camera, who have done an unprecedented and comprehensive job of making it come to life.”
