Bandicoot TV hires Youngest & Thames execs as production chief Emma Read-Wilson exits
The Masked Singer UK producer Bandicoot TV has hired former Youngest Media and Thames Television execs, following news that head of production Emma Read-Wilson is stepping down.
Louisa Benger takes the newly created role of director of productions & operations with a remit across Bandicoot TV, Bandicoot Scotland and the label’s expanding US operations.
She has oversight of The Masked Singer and several other projects currently in development in the UK and US.
Benger had previously spent seven years as director of production & operations for Youngest Media, which was recently shuttered. Her credits include Moneybags and ITV gameshow Small Fortune.
Ryan Meloy joins as executive producer of development and becomes Bandicoot’s creative lead for scotland. He will work closely with Kate Stannard, Bandicoot’s head of development to develop new projects based out of the Glasgow office and new iterations of The Masked Singer, which is into its fifth season.
Meloy worked on children’s format, Last Commanders, and has previously had stints at Thames TV, Tern TV, Objective Media Group, IWC Media and Beezr Studios.
Both roles report into Bandicoot’s founders, MD Derek McLean and creative director Daniel Nettleton.
Read-Wilson’s next move is not yet known.
