RTL Zwei takes Hollywood Game Night to Germany
Germany’s RTL Zwei has ordered a local version of NBCUniversal format Hollywood Game Night.
The new German adaptation, titled Promi Game Night – Wir spielen für deinen Traum (Celebrity Game Night – We Play for Your Dream), will be hosted by local comedian Caroline Frier make and requires two contestants to compete in games and challenges to win prize money of up to €10,000 ($10,000).
The local adaptation is produced by Constantin Entertainment and will air weekly on RTL Zwei from 4 May.
Hollywood Game Night was originally created for NBC by Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner and was produced by Hazy Mills Productions, Mission Control Media and Universal Television Alternative Studio.
Promi Game Night marks the format’s 25th international version, following recent launches in Serbia and South Africa.
Mediawan dishes up Hungry For Love
Mediawan Rights’ unscripted department has picked up sales rights to food dating format Hungry For Love, partnering with the co-producers to distribute the series globally.
The show, which recently concluded its first season run on Israel streamer Hot, is co-produced by Tel Aviv-based Sipur and LA-based Stampede Ventures.
The unscripted series was created by Zipi Rozenblum, head of formats at Sipur, and produced by HSCC. International sales will be launched at MIPTV.
The social experiment dating format follows couples as they get to know each other over meals.
