Gunpowder & Sky hires Fly on the Wall’s Catti Alvarez & Abominable’s Natalie Gergely

LA-based prodco Gunpowder & Sky has landed Fly on the Wall Entertainment’s Catti Alvarez and Abominable Pictures’ exec Natalie Gergely.

Alvarez becomes VP of unscripted development having been director of development at Fly on the Wall, where she had credits on Crime Scene Kitchen for Fox and Million Dollar Mile for CBS.

Gergely joins as VP of scripted development following a stint as director of development at Abominable. Before that, she worked across original programming & development for Comedy Central.

Alvarez reports into Art Lyons, SVP of unscripted development, and Gergely reports to CEO Van Toffler.

Van Toffler said: “With our growing slate of narrative and unscripted features, series and podcasts, it was time to add two more innovative, tireless and talented bodies to the team to keep pushing us to take risks with provocative storytelling.”

Gunpowder & Sky was founded by Van Toffler and Floris Bauer in 2016 and has been behind Paramount+ show Sometimes When We Touch and Last Exit: Space for Discovery+, among numerous others.
