TF1 in France has named Pierre-Alain Gérard to lead the broadcaster’s finance, M&A strategy and procurement operations.

Pierre-Alain Gérard, who becomes deputy director-general, replaces Philippe Denery and will join the broadcaster’s executive committee.

He comes to TF1 from its parent company, Bouygues, where he was head of strategy, development and finance.

At Bouygues he was in charge of strategic and financial planning, financial control and development including the acquisition of EIT by Bouygues Telecom and Equans by Bouygues SA.

The moves comes after TF1 named Rodolphe Belmer as CEO, replacing long-serving Gilles Pélisson.
