Series Mania unveils Lille Dialogues line-up, with Casey Bloys & Cécile Frot-Coutaz
Series Mania has revealed the line-up of guests and speakers to attend its 2023 Lille Dialogues, with keynotes from HBO Max chief Casey Bloys and Sky Studios CEO Cécile Frot-Coutaz confirmed.
The one-day event, which takes place on 23 March and is part of the wider Series Mania festival in Lille, brings together European lawmakers and execs to explore the challenges facing the industry and to promote international cooperation.
The 2023 theme – Shaping the Future with the Audiovisual Sector – will feature panel discussions alongside the keynotes, with France Télévisions CEO Delphine Ernotte Cunci and TF1 Group CEO Rodolphe Belmer also set to speak.
James Farrell, Amazon Prime Video’s head of local originals, will also be on the stage, while Beta Film’s CEO Jan Mojto, is also set to keynote.
Panels titled Why We Must Win The Battle Of Narratives and the sustainability-focused What Strategies To Amplify Our Echo? are among a raft of discussions planned, with speakers including ITV Studios’ Lisa Perrin, Bavaria Fiction’s Marcus Ammon, and Monster’s Ingvild Daae.
An ‘ambassador’ for the Lille Dialogues has also been appointed for the first time, with French writer/director Cyril Dion taking part in the opening ‘Narratives’ session. With Magali Payen, they will address to the Series industries the importance to change the narratives in order to meet the ecological challenges we face.
Key execs already confirmed for the Series Mania Forum include Paramount+ EVP Marco Nobili and Dr Death showrunner Patrick McManus.
