Federation Studios names Robin & Co MD to lead new label, Lapinxa Production

Laetitia Recayte

France’s Federation Studios has launched a new label, Lapinxa Production, led by Robin & Co, France Televisions and Newen alum Laetitia Recayte.

The new firm will focus on documentary series, but also on feature films and fiction series, with Recayte serving as producer.

The first production to emerge will be Locked Up (aka Les Reclus), a 4 x 52-minute docuseries for Canal+ Doc, in co-production with Calt Production, written and directed by novelist, writer and director Sandrine Cohen. Filming began on 12 January.

The series will explore the story of Thierry Tilly, who held sway over eleven people for ten years, who all believed he was their savior, giving him all their assets and obeying him to the letter.

Recayte most recently served as MD at Kaamelott producer Robin & Co, which was acquired by Federation Studios in February 2022. In 2015, she was elected President of TVFI (now Unifrance) and joined France Televisions alongside Delphine Ernotte Cunci, as VP of sales and development, President of France Télévisions Publicité, CEO of France TV Distribution and CEO of production subsidiary France.tvstudio.

Prior to this, she joined Newen in 2002, as MD of Newen Distribution, MD of prodco subsidiary Telfrance and member of the Executive Committee of Newen.

The launch follows Federation Studios merging its sales division with that of its Paris-based subsidiary Calt Distribution earlier this month and appointing Rosalie Cimino to head up Anonymous Federation, its joint-venture wth Anonymous Content, last week.
