‘Beat Shazam’ prodco Apploff names VP of current & development

LA-based production company Apploff Entertainment (The Wheel) has upped Danielle Peress to VP of current & development.

Peress has been with Apploff for a decade, starting off as executive assistant before moving into new roles overseeing the creation, packaging, marketing and selling of content across networks and streamers.

In her new role, Peress will continue to report to president & CEO Jeff Apploff and will manage Zach Gelfand, who simultaneously has been promoted to development coordinator.

“Both Danielle and Zach are invaluable to the company’s continued growth and success. Their phenomenal skills and creative ideas, coupled with a shared passion for the work we do here, are the traits that have propelled them forward and earned them their promotions,” said Apploff.

Apploff is behind Beat Shazam for Fox and Don’t Forget The Lyrics, the decade-old format that was revived with host and actress Niecy Nash. It also produces UK format The Wheel for NBC.
