Argonon’s Nemorin hires News UK exec as creative director amid branded push

Argonon is increasing its investment in branded content production by expanding the team at its UK-based Nemorin Film & Video.

The group, which acquired Nemorin in 2020 as part of its growth strategy out of the pandemic, has hired Sachini Imbuldeniya to the newly created role of executive creative director, reporting into founder & CEO Pete Fergusson.

Imbuldeniya’s remit includes oversight of the expansion of creative operations as part of the agency’s growth plans for 2023.

The move forms part of parent group Argonon’s ongoing investment in branded, digital and IP. It recently moved into podcasts and launched YouTube website Element 18, which has surpassed 20,000 subscribers since launch.

Imbuldeniya, who was founder of photography and illustration agency Studio PI, joins from News UK’s Bridge Studio and produced the short film You Clap For Me Now, which amassed over 300 million views worldwide.

Fergusson said the appointment was part of Nemorin’s “gearing up for the next phase of strategic growth as we look to capitalise on the unquenchable demand for premium branded content across global markets.”
