UK accelerator Indielab expands team ahead of GrowthLab event
Indielab, the UK accelerator programme organisation, has made five new appointments as it looks to expand its operations and launch its GrowthLab event next year.
As recently reported, GrowthLab is a new industry event dedicated to promoting growth for UK indies, which will be held in London in February. TBI will act as the exclusive media partner for the event.
Indielab has now brought on Kate Moore as executive producer to serve as project lead on the GrowthLab event, including curating its sessions. As part of the senior management team, she will also work closely with CEO Victoria Powell on business development and fundraising for Indielab’s programmes.
Nicola Hewitt, meanwhile, joins as Indielab’s first business and operations manager. Also a member of the senior management team, she is responsible for finances, HR, legal, policies, IT, health and safety and budgeting.
Rebecca Thomson Foley will join in January as programme manager/producer, primarily responsible for the editorial design and delivery of Indielab’s programmes.
Ashe Hussain will provide policy advice as Indielab’s new inclusion executive, while Klaudia Lita has been appointed as programme co-ordinator, supporting the co-ordination and delivery of all Indielab events and programmes from conception to completion.
“At such a challenging time for recruitment, I am thrilled to have attracted such a wealth of exciting talent to the Indielab team. Between them, these new recruits bring a range of valuable experience in producing and delivering events, business development and management – from both within the content sector and the wider commercial world,” said Victoria Powell, Indielab’s CEO, who recently shared her thoughts with TBI on why resilience and the ability to adapt will be key strengths for indie leaders in 2023.
