Singapore-based distributor Bomanbridge Media has struck an exclusive global format distribution deal with China’s Tencent Video.
The partnership gives Bomanbridge access to Tencent’s unscripted IP, including variety, studio based as well as celebrity and competition formats.
The titles will become part of Bomanbridge’s revamped format slate for next year, with the distributor launching two of them, Campus Go and The Truth, at ATF next month.
Campus Go is a competition show in which university students battle it out on the dancefloor, while The Truth is an investigative format in which competitors try to solve a fictitious murder.
Sonia Fleck, CEO at Bomanbridge, said: “Tencent Video’s format line-up features a slate of exceptional concepts across the unscripted space, and with production gearing up again post Covid, it is a perfect time to launch this collaboration on new shows.”
Yang ZhiFan, format R&D director at Tencent Video added: “Through cooperation with Bomanbridge, we hope our new concepts and formats can be shared with a more international counterparts, kicking off the promotional spread and implementation of formats from Tencent Video in overseas markets.”
