Nat Geo & Disney+ launch Pioneer’s two-parter ‘In The Womb’

In the Womb: Animal Babies

National Geographic and affiliated streamer Disney+ have ordered a two-part series that follows four species as they embark on the journey of motherhood.

In The Womb: Animal Babies (2 x 60 minutes) is from UK-based Pioneer Productions and has been filmed over two and a half years across Africa and the US.

The show tracks four animal mothers from conception, through their gestation and finally, to birth, using the latest scanning technology and photo-real computer animation to create a realistic picture of life inside the womb.

The show will air in the UK over two weeks in December on National Geographic and recently debuted on Disney+ in the US.

It was executive produced by Thomas Viner and Peter Collins, with Kirsty Wilson as series producer and Alex Tate, Will Benson and Michael Davie as producer directors.
