Saudi Arabia’s MBC Group extends kids pact with Paramount’s Nickelodeon
Saudi Arabia-based MBC Group has extended its programming deal with Paramount Global Content Distribution, with a raft of kids shows heading to the MENA-focused media giant.
The three-year pact will see a minimum of 350 episodes of Nickelodeon shows heading to MBC’s children’s channel MBC3 and its VOD service Shahid, with the group securing free-to-air first run rights.
Shows include the recent seasons of PAW Patrol, The Loud House, SpongeBob SquarePants and Blaze And The Monster Machines, while other Nickelodeon titles heading to MBC3 for the first time include The Patrick Star Show, Middlemost Post and Rise Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
For on demand viewing, Shahid will showcase content in both English and French, also with a minimum of 350 episodes per year, with series including Dora The Explorer, Shimmer And Shine and Bubble Guppies.
