Fox links with MIP Formats

The call for entries is now open for 2022’s MIP Formats International Pitch in Cannes, which sees RX France partnering with Fox Alternative Entertainment for the first time.

A short list of five finalists (from all entries) will be invited to pitch their formats on stage at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes at the three-day event this April, in front of a jury comprising a mix of Fox executives and industry experts.

In addition to a prize of US$5000 for development, the winning format will be pitched to global buyers by Fox Alternative Entertainment as part of Fox’s $100m International Unscripted Format Fund.

ITN & Getty renew partnership

UK news broadcaster ITN and global image marketplace Getty Images have renewed their multi-year Global Video Archive partnership.

The distribution agreement will see more than one million ITN news footage clips, from more than 65 years, added to the Getty service.

Tami Hoffman, head of news and archive at ITN Productions said, “ITN’s archive is a visual repository of British cultural history and we are delighted to renew our partnership with Getty Images. Getty Images’ international reach and editorial expertise has allowed us to build on the collection and continue to unearth new gems for audiences around the world.”

Tandoor

Voot & Ullu strike content pact

Indian VOD platforms Voot and Ullu have struck a content partnership that will see 100 shows from the latter’s library headed to the former’s service.

As a part of the three-year digital exclusive deal, Voot will get access to original shows from the Ullu library across thriller, crime, horror, and comedy genres in different languages, beginning this month with shows including Tandoor, Assi Nabbe Pure Sau, Panchali and Cyanide.
