BBC One welcomes The CW’s ‘Superman & Lois’
The BBC has acquired the UK premiere of Warner Bros. Television’s drama Superman & Lois.
The show, which is based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, will be stripped weekly for BBC One starting 4 December, with all episodes available via streamer iPlayer on the same day.
Superman & Lois stars Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf) and Elizabeth Tulloch (Grimm) as the world’s most famous superhero, Clark Kent, and comic books’ most famous journalist, Lois Lane.
The show is from Greg Berlanti’s Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television and tracks the day-to-day stress of superhero work while also attempting to raise two boys.
Sue Deeks, head of programme acquisition, said: “Superman & Lois is an ambitious and involving new superhero series – one we are sure will intrigue and excite not just existing fans, but BBC viewers of all ages.”
