SVT & UR pick up Banijay eco-format ‘Climate Bootcamp’
Swedish educational broadcasting company UR has commissioned a local version of Banijay’s eco-format Climate Bootcamp.
Jarowskij, part of Banijay Nordic, will produce the 6 x 28-minute series for broadcast on Swedish pubcaster SVT and UR.
The show will follow a group of celebrities who address the area of their lives that is having the most detrimental impact on the planet – from their travel and consumption habits to simply just their attitude.
The group will attend a camp to retrain themselves and learn why they must act to change their habits to help the environment. Equipped with the knowledge and necessary skills, the celebrities will then have to maintain it in their everyday lives.
Climate Bootcamp is the latest eco-format from Banijay, sitting alongside titles including Mastiff Denmark’s documentary, Wild Wonderful Denmark and RDF Television’s Shop Well For The Planet?
Iréne Lindblad, CEO at Jarowskij, commented: “Protecting our planet for future generations is incredibly important to us and in the midst of the COP26 conversation, the world’s attention is on the climate emergency.
“The amazing talent associated with Climate Bootcamp highlight the small changes the individual can make and is just one example of the importance Banijay and its labels are placing on positive change.”
