TBI’s Content Innovation Awards 2020 deadline extended

The deadline to enter TBI’s Content Innovation Awards has been extended to 17 July.

That means you have an extra two weeks in which to submit your entries for the competition that celebrates the very best of global talent and creative content, with an exciting range of new categories also being launched.

This year’s awards will again see a panel of distinguished judges decide the most innovative, exciting and outstanding products, services and individuals of the last year.

New categories for 2020 will include the Distribution Initiative Award, designed to pay tribute to some of the most forward-thinking sales firms in operation, and The Sustainability Award, which will salute a company or organisation that has gone above and beyond when it comes to improving the TV industry’s environmental impact on the world.

Other newly created categories include the Innovation in Streaming Award and The Extended Reality Award, the latter of which will go to the most innovative use of extended reality in the field of video entertainment, while The Innovation & Ingenuity Award has been specially introduced this year to highlight an individual or company who has shown an outstanding ability to succeed despite the challenges thrown up by the Covid-19 crisis.

Returning categories will include Best Debut Drama Series, Factual Entertainment Programme of the Year, Factual TV Project of the Year and an array of kids’ honours, with more details available here.

Furthermore, nominations for categories including the Lifetime Achievement Award and Rising Star of Development, can be entered completely free of charge.

The deadline for submissions is now 17 July 2020. All the information you need to enter can be found in our entry guide.
