ITV Hub to ‘supersize’ content in Love Island-less summer
ITV’s catch-up platform ITV Hub will ‘supersize’ its content offering this summer, the broadcaster has said.
With ITV missing out on the audiences which would have been drawn to the streamer by Love Island and the UEFA Euro 2020 – both of which have been cancelled as a result of the coronavirus pandemic – ITV has made the move to bulk up the streamer’s content.
The broadcaster said that many of its popular scripted shows will return to ITV Hub, including White House Farm, Quiz and Flesh And Blood, along with reality shows such as Sam & Billie: The Mummy Diaries, The Real Housewives Of Cheshire, Gemma Collins: Diva. ITV Hub will also add documentaries including Breaking Dad, Harry on Sandbanks, Gordon, Gino And Fred: American Road Trip and Absolutely India: Mancs In Mumbai.
At its latest count, ITV Hub has over 30 million registered users.
Steve Forde, director of digital products, ITV said: “As more and more of our audiences look to the ITV Hub to watch ITV programming, we’re continuing our transformation of the platform by expanding our programming catalogue over the summer to ensure we give our viewers the opportunity to binge on the best drama, factual and reality shows from 2020.”
