Bomanbridge strikes Matt Hatter deal
Bomanbridge Media has taken Asian rights to Matt Hatter Chronicles and will be looking to seal deals with buyers from the region for the kids series at MIPTV.
Singapore-based Bomanbridge has taken four seasons of the show and will also have the upcoming Matt Hatter TV Movie.
Platinum Films makes the series. The Pinewood-based indie, which this week announced a Bear Grylls animated series, handles Matt Hatter distribution elsewhere in the world where it is on Cartoon Network and Disney XD among others.
“The series has ranked number one in ratings on channels such as ITV in the UK, and Cartoon Network in Australia, to mention a few,” said Sonia Fleck, CEO of Bomanbridge.
“We believe this action-packed kids comedy series will resonate with our young audiences here, bringing about lucrative revenue streams and high ratings for all our broadcast platforms.”
Targeted at 6-to-10 year-olds, Matt Hatter is billed as a story-driven action comedy. “Expansion into Asia is the next phase in a deliberate and considered broadcast strategy for the Matt Hatter brand,” said Natalie Llewellyn, head of global strategy at Platinum Films.
“Bomanbridge is superbly positioned to bring Matt Hatter to new audiences across Asia. Their experience, passion and deep knowledge of the Asian market has earned them a first-class reputation in the region.”
