Red Arrow bringing Einstein to Cannes
Red Arrow International will launch Einstein, a new ten-part crime series, at MIPTV.
The series comes out of Germany, which is emerging as European drama hotspot, and is for free TV net Sat.1.
The Zeitsprung Pictures-produced show stars Tom Beck (Alarm for Cobra 11) as the great grandson of Albert Einstein, who works with the police to solve crimes using his brilliant and eccentric mind.
Red Arrow’s drama slate also includes season two of Australian drama series Cleverman, which is on ABC in Australia and Sundance in the US.
The sci-fi drama is produced by Goalpost Pictures and VFX giant Weta Workshop and its subsidiary Pukeko Pictures.
It tells the story of humans in a near-future dystopia who become increasingly hostile to near-human creatures that have emerged.
Red Arrow said it will launch 400 hours of new content in Cannes. “The scripted offering is a bold mix of English and non-English language series – from ‘genre’ to procedural,” said Henrik Pabst, company managing director.
