Telemundo’s new Lord of the Skies set for take-off

EL-Señor-De-Los-Cielos-3_Rafael-Amaya_002Telemundo Internacional is launching a new season of its hit super series The Lord of the Skies at MIPTV. The show has been a big hit for Telemundo in its 10pm slot and helped spawn a new wave of gritty, action novelas.

The sales arm of the US Hispanic net is also relocating for the market. The NBCUniversal-owned business is relocating to the main NBCU stand (P4.C14) at MIPTV.

New classic telenovelas for the market include love stories Who is Who? and Eva’s Destiny.

Who is Who? follows the adventures of Perico and Leonardo, twins separated at birth, who find each other and swap roles. Eva’s Destiny tells the story of Eva Soler, a woman betrayed by her own family.

Produced by Grupo Imagen Multimedia, Telemundo will also have be presenting Don’t Be Late, the adaptation of the TVN Chile production with the same name.

It tells the story of a mother who learns that her son’s sudden death was not accidental and attempts to unearth the truth.
